Meet the Why Guys
The Why Guys met at Southern Illinois University where they majored in Radio-Television and co-hosted an all night radio show on WSIU called Night Watch. Through the years they have remained friends in a sad attempt to recapture those days of glory.
Greg Anastos
Greg is a communications professional who’s held leadership positions in publishing, finance and broadcasting. For over a decade, he headed a Chicago-based independent media company representing American, European and Asian trade publications. Earlier, as a corporate executive, Greg served as regional and national sales manager for Cahners Publishing, the nation’s largest business-to-business publisher, working on packaging, electronics and business magazines, as well as custom publishing. Prior to that, Greg was a stockbroker with Bache and Shearson in Chicago. He began his career in commercial broadcasting as a radio host and producer in West Palm Beach, Florida, and later moved to Boston where he worked in sales at WCOP.
Bob Smith
Bob is a voice talent and communications professional who’s held leadership positions in corporate marketing, advertising and broadcasting. He has served as a commercial spokesperson for McDonalds, Lockheed Martin, Batteries Plus, Pfizer, Harley-Davidson and others. Bob was brand director for Rockwell Automation, managing global advertising, company identity and vertical industry communications. As an ad agency professional, Bob functioned as a VP, creative director and producer on such blue-chip accounts as Dow, Oster, Blue Cross, Evinrude and KFC. He began his career in broadcasting, where he interviewed such legendary entertainers as George Burns, Bob Hope, Bo Diddley, Wolfman Jack and Harry Chapin. The Radio Feature
Our Why Didn't I Think of That?® radio feature tells entertaining stories of entrepreneurs pursuing the American Dream. These fast-paced two-minute radio features focus on the “moment of inspiration” that started an everyday person on the road to success. They’re fun, entertaining and informative – great vehicles for radio stations and advertisers to associate themselves with America’s new breed of entrepreneurs.
Each 2-minute feature is delivered via FTP site, includes a :30 spot, and can be aired with local sponsorship multiple times daily. Why Didn’t I Think of That? is currently heard in 10 states, plus the island of Saipan in the western Pacific.
